UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM IN GEOPHYSICS
The Undergraduate Program in Geophysics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mulawarman University, was established in 2018 and is currently the only geophysics program in East Kalimantan. It aims to meet the demand for geophysics professionals, particularly in natural resource management and disaster mitigation in tropical regions.
Academic activities are developed through a combination of classroom learning, laboratory practice, field exploration, and collaboration with external partners. The curriculum is designed to be adaptive to scientific developments and industry demands, supported by lecturers holding Master’s and Doctoral degrees from prominent national and international institutions.
Students are encouraged to actively participate in research, scientific publication, and academic forums to continuously improve their knowledge and competencies.
